Welcome to “Wasen” 　(Free Boat Ride) Japanese Traditional Wooden Boat Association

Our association was founded with the assistance of Koto city in 1995. The purpose of our association is to preserve the "Wasen" Japanese traditional wooden boats as cultural heritage , and pass on the rowing techniques. We are located at Yokojukkengawa Shinsui Park.

Japanese Boat (Wasen) Rowing Experience at Seaside boarding point
Traditional Japanese boat rides and rowing experiences will be held every Sunday during the months of December, January, and February.

・Registration: 10:00 AM – 2:15 PM

Note: In the event of uncertain weather, please check the Wasen Tomo-no-kai (Japanese Boat Friends Association) official website or Facebook page before heading out.

Regular Operating Schedule

The basic activity days are the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Wednesdays, and the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month.
Outside of the winter schedule mentioned above, our regular operating days are as follows:

・Sundays: 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month.
・Wednesdays: 1st, 3rd, and 5th Wednesday of the month.
・Registration: 10:00 AM – 2:15 PM
　Please Note: Wednesday sessions operate on an every-other-week basis (alternating weeks). Please check the calendar carefully before your visit.
